Lukas Gutmorgeth, BA MA MSc

About

Lukas Gutmorgeth researches reproductive decision-making, partnering, and fertility trends among people with disabilities and chronic illnesses. 
He studied political science and demography at the University of Vienna and graduated in both fields. He wrote his master's thesis in demography on fertility postponement among men and women, titled “Closing the gap? A comparative analysis of fertility delay among men and women in Europe”. 
Lukas Gutmorgeth rejoined the University of Vienna in February 2026 and is currently pursuing a PhD in demography on the topic “Disability, Chronic Illness and Fertility: Intentions, Outcomes and Prevalence in Europe”.
